Research is the integral part of all medical sciences. Validation of older concept and their integration with existing knowledge is the need of hour. No doubt Ayurveda is evidence-based science but to present it on Global platform we need the research based on present days Research Methodology. To enrich and empower the Ayurveda Scholars of undergraduate, Postgraduate or doctorate with current trends current trends of RMMS this book is written.

In this book we have tried to elaborate all the fundamentals of Research methodology and medical statistic useful for B.A.M.S. students, M.D. and Ph.D. Scholars of Ayurveda and allied sciences.

Research includes a detailed and careful study of something to find out more information about it. It is important for development of any science. All the developed countries have more emphasis on it. American sociologist Earl Robert Babbie, articulates "research is a systematic inquiry to describe, explain, predict, and control the observed phenomenon. "The tremendous advancement in medical science in past decades isa result of extensive research work in health alliedsciences.

Ayurved is evidence-based medicine since centuries and its principles are time tested. Innovations and research are need of hour and are equally important in Ayurved. Ayurved has its acceptance on top Globally in present days. In this scenario principles of Ayurved should be presented in scientific and understandable language to the Globe which will help to fulfil the goal of 'VasudhaivaKutumbakam'.

The objective of this book is to provide concise, essential, complete & readable information on Basic and applied aspects of Research Methodology and Medical Statistics. Through this book it is our small effort to make Ayurved fraternity well versed with the concept of RM & MS. Selection of subject matter and its presentation is based on the experience gained during the post-graduation and teaching of the students. Emphasis is also given on all aspects, which are practically important, and an effort has been made to correlate it with Ayurveda. It is hoped that the UG-PG students, teachers, practitioners, and researchers will find the book useful for understanding the Research Methodology and Statistics in context of theoretical and applied point of view.
