Goddess Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth, prosperity, light, wisdom, fortune and fertility. Lord Narasimha, is the destroyer of evil. When worshipped together, these two bestow prosperity and happiness in life. It is believed that since Lord Narsimha is full of divine wrath, his worship should be done with utmost attention and care. In many temples, only Brahmacharis are allowed to perform the daily Puja to Narasimha, since they have demonstrated such steadiness of will and focus. But Lakshmi calms Him and makes Him safe for any devotees to approach.

This is such a sculpture made of brass wherein Lord Narasimha bejewelled in elaborate ornaments is seated on a plinth, with Goddess Lakshmi, equally opulent sits on his left thigh which is folded. A kirtimukha Prabhavali (An aureole with the face of Glory) adorns the background of the sculpture. The exquisite craftsmanship can be seen in each aspect of the sculpture. Keeping the Lakshmi Narasimha idol at home is believed to protect you from enemies and provide you with blessing, peace and happiness.
