Amongst the various roopas in which Hanuman's devoted divine virtues were celebrated in Southern religious culture, the most inspiring one has to be Hanuman in Namaskar mudra, reminding us of his eternal submission in the lotus feet of Sri Rama. In this life-size granite statue, Sri Hanuman stands a slab of stone, adorned in the characteristic fashion- short dhoti, ornaments, and Kiritamukuta crown. While his posture and palms joined in Namaskara present a serene aura, his curving tail adds a hint of swift movement to the statue. Hanuman's countenance carries a blissful smile, which speaks of his heart overjoyed by being in the proximity of Rama. Inspiring selfless devotion and affection to Ayodhyapati, this roopa of Hanuman is the pinnacle of pure Vaishnava bhakti.
