A little about me:
I am a simple creative person, and I get drawn to freedom, culture, love, simplicity, and inner peace. Having said that, most of my paintings are broadly based on these themes. All my artworks are centered on vivid memories, experiences and interests that I have had at various junctures of my life.
Though an engineer with a master in literature, I slowly converted my lifelong passion for painting into my profession. It has undoubtedly been a challenge, albeit a very good one, since I now get to spend most of my time in doing something I love.
Happily regarded as one of the most promising new talents in the Indian art scene, I am mostly known for my contemporary figurative paintings. My overall interest however ranges from the figurative Indian village women, and spiritual figuratives to the more challenging abstract art forming my mind series.
My influences range from renowned European artists like Van Gogh and Paul Klee to their famous Indian counterparts like Jamini Roy and Nandalal Bose.
In terms of medium, I mostly paint and draw on surfaces such as paper, and canvas, using pencil, Acrylic or mixed media.
I strongly believe that art is the greatest therapy known to mankind and I have been painting since the age of six. My paintings can be found in private collections in India and abroad. My work has also been a part of numerous art exhibitions and festivals the world over.
