It is my great privilege and pleasure to undertake the work of writing the Book "Acharya's Ayurvedeeya padartha vigyan". It is by the grace of God Dhanwantari, Manjunatheshwara and my parents, the publication completed uninterruptedly.

Padartha vigyan is a known subject of Ancient Ayurvedic philosophical background associated with the sciences like Darshana, pramana, Tarka, Tantra, Srusti, utpatti etc. This subject is taught to first professional BAMS students who had base of convent education hence became unpalatable to them.

This publication is aimed to present the subject in a simple way like a guide for the better understanding and the success of my work fully depends upon its utility to many a student. I believe that it will become a hand book for the students of Ayurveda.

I express my sincere gratitude to H. H. Veerendra Heggadeji the president and the respected members of the S.D.M. Educational trust for their kindness in providing me the best opportunity to serve in their esteemed medical institution.

I offer my sincere thanks to our beloved principal Dr. Prasanna N. Rao, for his continuous support and co operation to bring out the publication.
