The Saint poet Kabir says "We all remember God in our days of sorrow, had we remembered Him in our days of happiness, we would not have suffered at all.
The same applies to the human body. If we start to care for it right from young age, by doing exercise-practising Yog, then we can avoid the diseases which affect the neck and back when we start growing old. An experienced 83 year old and radiologist, Dr. M.L. Aggarwal had told me once that 80% of the elderly people suffer from the deformity of back and the spine.
This book explains some easy exercises, yogasans and fomentation which are beneficial for men and women of all ages who are suffering from these disorders. These are a must for those people who have to bend down while doing sedentary work, reading and writing etc. These exercises and yogasans, if regularly practised, will help to purge out the toxins and gas from the body. They will also make the neck and back flexible and stress-free. They will eliminate fat and wrinkles from the neck which make it ugly and will tone-up the muscles of the neck and back, relieving the aches and pains.
This book, besides Yogasans and exercises, also tells the readers how to improve their lifestyle, diet and their thinking. Furthermore, it also throws light on naturopathy, magnet- therapy, acupressure and Ayurvedic cure for these disorders.
This book is based on my personal experience and the sole object of writing it is to tell the readers how they can avoid diseases and remain healthy by becoming their own doctor.
I am confident that the book will help people not only to avoid aches and pains in the neck and back region but would also help to cure those who are already suffering from them, allowing them to lead happy and healthy lives.
At the end, I express my heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Pushprenu Shrivastava who has done the wonderful work of translating this book in English.
