Foreword
It is a matter of great pleasure and personal satisfaction to me that the Vidyapeetha is bringing to light a hitherto unknown dramatical work of a known author, namely the krsnalila-natika of Vaidyanatha Tatsat. This Vaidyanatha is different from the grammarian "Vaidyanatha Payagunde – the pupil of Nagesa Bhatta. He flourished probably in the later half of the 17th century and was perhaps still active in the early years of the 18th century. He was a resident of Varanasi and was the son of Ramabhatta (father) and Dvaraka (mother). Three of his works, viz. (i) a sub commentary named Prabha on the Pradipa to Kavyaprakasa, (ii) an original commentary on the Kavyaprakasa named udaharana-candrika and (iii) a commentary called Alankara candrika on the kuvalayananda are already published and well known. The present work is the fourth one to see the light of the day for the first time.
The Natika trends the intensive attraction of srikrsna towards Radha inspite of his being married with Satyabhama who is at first jealous of Radha but later blesses the marriage between the two. The Natika is klptavrtta (imaginative) in so far as the marriage not mentioned elsewhere.
I hope that this unique piece of dramatic art shall prove to be enjoyable to the lovers of literature and thank Dr. V.N. Giri for the wonderful edition of this work and his very scholarly introduction written in chaste Sanskrit.

I’ve started receiving many of the books I’ve ordered and every single one of them (thus far) has been fantastic - both the books themselves, and the execution of the shipping. Safe to say I’ll be ordering many more books from your website :)

I received the kaftan today via FedEx. Your care in sending the order, packaging and methods, are exquisite. You have dressed my body in comfort and fashion for my constrained quarantine in the several kaftans ordered in the last 6 months. And I gifted my sister with one of the orders. So pleased to have made a connection with you.
