FOLK PAINTINGS

In this tradition Telengana artists create "Kaki Padagollu" using the scroll paintings as visual aids to tell stories. Mythological stories painted on cloth run into several metres. Also on card board, plywood, hard board and paper. Ideal for wall hangings. Cherial in Warangal district is the traditional centre.

OJHA BRASS WIRE CASTING

Clay and metal artifacts are offered by tribals to their deities Practised in Chittalbori and Ushegaon in Adilabad District. Birds, animals, a village deity, an occupational model, a chimney or a bell, figurines, horses, drummers, peculiar shaped spoons and unique tribal gods provide a wide range to choose from.
