This book is having depth with the fundamental of ancient surgeons as described by ancient surgeons with its modern correlance which will helpful to both Under Graduate and Post Graduate students of Ayurvedic & Modern Scholars.

It is hoped that this book is sufficiently comprehensive to guide plastic surgeons. This chapter of recent advances in Aesthetic Surgery has been illustrated with figures. Main aim of this book is to provide a mature approach to basic principles of plastic surgery in Ayurveda. This book contains translation on commentary of the ancient Ayurvedic text with critical analysis of the subject matter in the light of modern plastic surgery.

I hope this edition will show a path for both Ayurvedic & Modern Surgeons of this field.

About the Authors:

Dr. H.K. Panigrahi S/o Late Arjun Panigrahi of Tehsil Agarpada, Dist. Bhadrak of Orissa born in 4th Jan. 1971. At present he is working as a lecturer in Shalya Shalakya Deprtment of A&U Tibbia College New Delhi. He is an eminent clinician and an academician in his field. He has served as an Under Graduate and Post Graduate teacher in different Ayurvedic Medical College in Jammu, Haryana and Delhi.

He had his early Ayurvedic Medical education at Gopabandhu Ayurvedic Mahavidyalay, Puri, Orissa and higher Post Graduate and Ph. D. education in N.J.A. Jaipur. He has participated in various conferences in India. He has published papers in various scientific Journals.

Dr. K.K. Sijoria from Tehsil Debra of Gwalior was born on 26 June 1951, Completed his P.G. in Shalya Shalakya Department from BHU and worked as a Clinical Registrar in Shalya Shalakya Department. In 1979 he joined as a lecturer in A & U Tibbia College & Hospital and presently working as a Readers & HOD with additional charge of DMS. He received prestigious state award from Govt. of Delhi for his valuable services.
