The divine science of Vedic Astrology is one of the most useful bodies of knowledge available to the mankind. We all know prevention is better than cure. The divine science of Vedic Astrology helps us in giving dependable indications in the fields of maintaining good health, learning, acquiring professional knowledge, choosing the professional venture and becoming useful to the family, society, country and humanity at large. The premise of Vedic Astrology is that the planetary influences in Ones The strong planets bless the native with all happiness including birth in a resourceful family, good opportunities for education, comfortable life and opportunity for spiritual development. The weak or afflicted planets cause delays, troubles and setback in life. The divine science of Vedic Astrology gives us opportunity to mould planetary influences through good deeds, propitiation of planets and strengthening of planets.
In Our endeavor to present the readers/students with the latest predictive tool and techniques we bring here under the revised predictive techniques/explanations added to the predictive techniques as contained in the latest revised edition of the book.
The Most Effective Point of a House
Besides the natal position of the planets, there is the most effective point (MEP) of each house known by the degree rising in the ascendant. The close impact of the planets is gauged through their closeness to the natal positions. Suppose an ascendant of 16 degree rises. It means the most effective point of each house would be 16 degrees. In case the lord f a mooltrikona house is weak or in case of non-mooltrikona house, a functional malefic planet having longitude between 11 to 21 degree can afflict these house either by placement or by aspect. In case the lord of a mooltrikona house if Otherwise strong lord will became weak for this reason. The influence of any functional malefic planet over its own mooltrikona house will never be malefic, except when the functional malefic planet is already afflicted and /or afflicts from a dusthana/ malefic House.
A strong natal planet protects and promotes its general significations and the significations of its mooltrikona house. Any planet is considered strong hen its longitude is between 50 to 250 and it is not in the state of weakness. It can increase its strength if:
a) It is young, i.e. longitude is between 100 to 200 in a particular sign.
b) It occupies own or good navamsa and other divisions.
c) It is under the close influence of functional benefic planets.
d) It occupies its exaltation, mooltrikona or own sign.
e) It is placed in the Sun-like houses, that is the second, third and ninth houses.
Any planet has capacity to bless the native with its results if its natal strength is at least 60% and it is unaffiliated. In such a situation the results may come with some delay and of slightly lower order. With the help of the strengthening measures-gemstones of Kavach-the strength o the planets, where it is less than 60% can be brought to the level of 60% so that is blesses the native with the significations rules by it.
One can strengthen the weak planets (i) by way of a Kavach if the planetary strength is between 50% to 60% ; (ii) by way of a special power Kavach if the planetary strength is between 35% to 50% and (iii) by way of a special power Kavach cum gemstone pendant if the planetary strength is lower than 35%.
Transit influences take precedence over general trends in the natal chart. In todays fast life people are more concerned about the period in terms of days instead of months or years, which may the duration of the sub-period of a particular planet. Further, significant events may occur as per the general trends indications or against the general trends indications. The significant events against the general trends indications are caused by the prolonged triple transit influences of planets on the weak natal or transit planets.
