Above All, Don’t Wobble Individual Meetings with a Contemporary Mystic
“Sitting, just sit, walking, just walks…above all, don’t wobble. Whatsoever you do, just do it as totally as possible.”

An extraordinary chronicle of intimate meetings between Osho and people of all ages and all walks of life from around the world. At these meetings people living and working around Osho, or just visiting, had an opportunity to ask personal questions on any and every aspect of their lives or to share experiences. In these humorous, unpredictable, one-off dialogues, Osho responds very personally to each individual with unique insights and support.

From the Jacket

Sitting just sit walking just walk…
Above all don’t wobble.
Whatsoever you do, just do it as totally as possible.

“Man is a tremendous freedom with no boundaries to his being. All boundaries are false. That’s why only in love a man becomes healthy and whole, because love forces no boundaries. It takes away all boundaries. It takes away all boundaries, all labels; it does not categorize you.

It accepts you whosoever you are. It doesn’t make it a condition that the other has to be known before he will be accepted. No, love accepts, and the more acceptance there is, the more you become aware that each individual is an infinity, and it is impossible to know him. And when you have known that it is impossible to know an individual, you have touched the very pulse of life.”

For over 35 years, Osho was speaking to international audiences of seekers, addressing their essential questions and concerns. The international press calls him “A 21st Century Prophet” and “an oracle of modern times.” His books and audio lectures are international bestsellers. Osho himself says that he is neither a prophet nor a philosopher; he is simply sharing his own experience. The Sunday Times of London described him as “one of the 1000 makers of the 20th century” and American author Tom Robbins has called him “the most dangerous man since Jesus Christ” – both comments reflecting the profound influence of his revolutionary approach to the science of inner transformation.

Spoken with authority, clarity, sharpness and humor, his insights address both the timeless and timely concerns that tend to escape our notice in the clamor and overload daily life.

Preface

All questions are human questions. Maybe you are not in any way anxious to know about it anymore – somebody else may be. And our thoughts are not individual properties; it is a collective mass. Thoughts go on entering into your head an going out – it is a continuous exchange between you and others. No though t is yours: it comes for while, stays there, and is gone… and enters into somebody else’s head. It is almost like breathing: I breathe in – it is the same breath that was within your chest just a moment before. Now you have breathed it out, I breathe it in. I breathe it out; somebody else is going to breathe it in. Exactly the same is true about thoughts. You breathe in, breathe out; it is a continuous exchange.

So don’t be worried. Let questions be asked. Just one thing to remember: questions should not be asked only for asking’s sake. They should be asked because somewhere it is hurting you; somewhere in your being it has some relationship, some relevance, something to do. Something is like a knot in your being, and this question will help it to open, to dissolve. The question should not be just intellectual, it should be existential.

About the Author

Osho defies categorization, reflecting everything from the individual quest for meaning to the most urgent social and political issues facing society today. His books are not written but are transcribed from recordings of extemporaneous talks given over a period of thirty-five years. Osho has been described by The Sunday Times in London as one of the “1000 Makes of the 20th Century” and by Sunday Mid – Day in India as one of the ten people – along with Gandhi, Nehru and Buddha – who have changed the destiny of India.

Osho has a stated aim of helping to create the conditions for the birth of a new kind of human being, characterized as “Zorba the Buddha” – one whose feet are firmly on the ground, yet whose hands can touch the stars. Running like a thread through all aspects of Osho is a vision that encompasses both the timeless wisdom of the East and the highest potential of Western science and technology.

He is synonymous with a revolutionary contribution to the science of inner transformation and an approach to meditation which specifically addresses the accelerated pace of contemporary life. The unique OSHO Active meditations are designed to allow the release of accumulated stress in the body and mind so that it is easier to be still and experience the thought – Free State of meditation.
